Joy Alder, organiser of MIDAS FAIRS, has asked TCC to help quash rumours in
the trade that she is to retire. These rumours are totally UNTRUE and the 'Second
Sunday' Quality Antique Fairs will run as normal.
Bizarrely, the rumour must have started when an inexperienced internet user
accessed Google to search for 'Antiques
Fairs in Bucks'. Google found TCCs 'Breaking News' and from TWO random lines
of Google text, featuring 'Antiques Fairs' and 'Bucks' it appeared (to the new
user) to form ONE misleading sentence. The user didn't bother to click on the
link to read the two stories in full and from then on 'Chinese Whispers' began
in the trade by word of mouth! Website: www.midas-antique-fairs.co.uk
